EPD

On 26th August of 2016, Environment and Development Foundation of Taiwan launched Product Category Rules (PCR), with assistance of PouChen Group, to declare sports wares EPD.

EPD system boundaries’ mandatory scope includes material processing, manufacturing, recycling and voluntary scope includes distributing and consuming of sports footwear.

Material processing of footwear soles and manufacturing process of cutting belong to mandatory scope. MINZ Energy Saving System can affectively lower 30~90% CO² and electricity consumption. Not only does this matches with EPD regulation, it also reduces unnecessary cost in sports ware production.

* PCR applies to global manufactured sports footwear with HS Code 640299, 640399, and 640411. Expiry date till 30th November of 2019.
